Instead of paying $300 to assemble, this will take about 6-8 hours to do it yourself. The Allen wrench provided is not enough, you will need an electric drill to assemble with the correct drill bits. Also, DO NOT lose any of the hardware because you will use everything and there are no extras.
The wood is cheap and will chip easily. Several of my pieces were delivered scratched. Lastly, if you purchase the one with the stairs let me offer some advice... do not follow the instructions! There are 2 boards labeled the same but are in actuality different (N4). Assemble the doors after securing them to the framing. This will also allow you to line up your doors because there are no predrilled holes for the door hinges.
Best of luck!
Love that I can use the beds separately or as bunks. They have held up very well to two rowdy pre-teen boys so far. Would suggest getting mattresses made for bunk beds instead of using ones you have, especially if its to be used by little ones. The top mattress is only 2 inches from the top of the rail if that.
Great product, my 3 year old loves it. Had it for ab 6 months now, no issues at all. Not sure how long it took my husband to put it together but it didnt seem like long. My baby doesnt jump in the bed or hang from the railings or anything so I suspect it should hold up for several years.
I bought 2 full over full moon bunk beds for a house we will be renting. It did take about a full day to assemble both, but they are made very well and correctly. I couldnt be happier with purchase. Only wish it had more than one USB . We were concerned to purchase and the need to deal with a bad situation, but this came from Canada and was exactly what it said it was. Just wanted to share Incase anyone needed some insight.
This is just like pictured and my 3 year old is absolutely thrilled. It does take quite a bit of time to assemble-it was a 6-7 hour project for my husband by himself though I did have to hold things for final assembly. Its overall sturdy and does sway a little easily if moving around a lot on the top bunk.
I love the look of this bunk bed and its very sturdy! The directions for assembly were easy to follow. Two people working on completed the build in 2-3 hours. The directions, however, tell you to build the bottom bunk, then stack the stop and begin building the top. It would have been much easier to build the two beds separately and then stack them. The biggest problem was that one of the main posts did not have the proper drill holes. It was not the correct part. Rather than call the manufacturer and wait in the correct post, my husband drilled his own holes to make it work. It was a pain and the incorrect post also made the USB part of the bed not usable because the post should have had connectors/holes that werent there. My kids love the bed and Im happy its safe and will pull apart into two beds if they want that later.
This is a nice bed. Well made and sturdy. Nice finish and overall good value for the money. We would buy it again. That being said, it comes in a LOT of pieces. Be prepared for hours of assembly. Im extremely handy (I own a construction company) and it took my wife and I over 2.5 hours to assemble
