I love this side cabinet. We recently cleared out an old storage locker and came across all of my moms old vinyls! We wanted a place to house them and a record player! This was perfect! Its so clean and modern looking. My husband isnt the handiest of handy men, but it didnt take long at all to set up, a couple of hours tops. Id read some reviews about doors and hinges not lining up and was nervous, but everything came together beautifully! We live in Hawaii, furniture is a premium and so is shipping. This was such a good deal for us!
I love this stand. It is really beautiful and looks high-quality. It is great for what we paid for it but in putting together, it is easy to see that it isnt made of the best quality materials. Im not sure what it has such low reviews though because it is pretty easy to even out the doors. I like the slightly more modern than mid-century vibe. I securely stores my board games on one side and some of my craft supplies on the other. There is just enough clearance under it to tuck some shoes away.
While the assembling was not difficult, the unit came with certain holes not properly prepared for assembly so I had to seek help and had to borrow an electric drill to complete and to be able to finish assembly.
It was pure carelessness on the part of the manufacturer.
Beautiful and functional piece. A little underwhelmed with the quality of the wood on top. The heat of my coffee cup kind of melted a part of it. But its , not West Elm, so I have to set my expectations accordingly. Other than that love it!
