Hubs and I ordered this bed and have been so pleased with it. He was out of town when it arrived and my nice UPS fella put it in the house for me. I set this bed up inare you ready for itdrumroll please..30 MINUTES. Yes, 30 minutes from start to finish and that was dashing to the basement for a hex-head screwdriver I realized I had. The secret is watching a Youtube video on putting one together. That way, you know where all the parts go and the sequence. After viewing an assembly, it was a snap to do. Hubs came back to a bed waiting for the new iCoil mattress in the garage - it was way too heavy for me to move in myself. We love the color - a light taupe that would be happy with, either, bold or pastel colors. Its quiet, sturdy and looks just as good as the one we saw in a local store for $2,000. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the legs are plastic. Maybe could put wooden legs on the base, as it would really dress up the bed. The plastic legs can be painted and thats what I plan to do when the weather breaks. Hope this review helps someone on the fence about this bed. Wed buy it again without hesitation.
This was not difficult to put together. Yes, it does take a bit of time and we found the assembly pointers in other reviews to be helpful.
It is easy to lift and close, too. It is sturdy and well-made and we are very pleased with it.
This bed is beautiful like the picture. It was easy assembly. And took roughly an hour to put together. The whole bed was very organized and easy to figure out. I really like the way they sorted everything together and how the bolts were already in the places they go! Big help! The bed is a bit darker in color than the picture BUT I like it more because we have kids and dont need any light furniture. Really love this bed!
It seems sturdy enough--my autistic son tends to like to bounce, but so far its holding up. The fake leather headboard looks like fake leather--kind of cheap. I dont care for the look of it, but it does have a modern aesthetic. It takes two people a few hours to put the whole thing together, and for reason we were two screws short at the end, although Im pretty sure that was our fault. I wouldnt put it in a guest room, but for our son, its fine. He likes it. Its not girly, nor does it have anything to object to. Simple, sturdy, and it works well enough.
Update 7/3/18: Even though my son (who is 17, by the way, and 6 feet tall) bounces on this every day, we have had no trouble with it so far. He broke his last bed multiple times by bouncing--the wooden parts just splintered. So, so far, so good.
I love this bed. I waited a very long time for the grey one to be in stock and Im so glad I did. It looks great and the storage is awesome. Also very good quality especially for the price.
Two of us put this Maddie Upholstered Bed together in 1.5 hours, and the only reason it took us that long was because we had only the one Allen wrench that came with the kit. I imagine if one person were doing it, assembly would take probably two hours.
If youve never put a bed like this together before, its actually quite easy. The instructions were EASY to follow and all the nuts and bolts were included and easy to identify. The finished product is a very sturdy, attractive twin bed.
The bed is not heavy and easy to move, but like I said, its very sturdy. Just follow the instructions step-by-step (the illustrations are accurate and very helpful) and be sure to tighten down all the bolts. Do that and youll have nothing to worry about.
Side note: Do be aware that because of the design, weight limit on the bed is 225 lbs.
Suggestion: If you have two people assembling the bed, take a minute to see if you have another Allen wrench that will fit. Youll probably knock out the project in less than an hour.
Love it! Easy install love the idea all the tools inside headboard! Fabric is nice and rich my favorite is legs looks so elegant. Highly recommend this bed is sturdy as well
