This was a high-quality item, beautiful seemingly solid wood (I got walnut), very thick, even-surfaced glass, very long metal rod for the joint. Just be aware glass has a very light green tint (which I liked). I cant imagine why someone would want to pay three times more for the original.
This table is even more beautiful in person! The glass top is super heavy and thick. The base is easy to assemble, but make sure you have someone helping you place the glass on top. I love this table. It adds elegance to my sitting room.
beautiful looking product. Very well packaged. Very heavy top for the supportive legs, more a piece of art than a coffee table. Good customer support, sending us a new long screw that is inserted into the legs when ours bent. Very pleased with this product, but would not want it around young children.

Good quality base and glass. The only issue I had was the screw striped when I was tightening the base.
