This took a 3 hrs to build with 2 people. This is very heavy and I definitely recommend! The frame looks beautiful and the wood look goes with everything in my house. Better than any frame!
The frame went together well. Once fully assembled it is very sturdy. Its a good height to fit plastic totes underneath. Not sure if the wood is really wood but it looks nice.
The bed is not very sturdy. With every move you make, the bed moves with you. And after having used the bed for about four months, the movement and swaying of the bed is causing bolts and screws to fall out. Literally, the bed will fall apart of I dont reassemble it.
One cross beam, which is screwed in, fell down (under the bed) and I looked to see what the problem was, and the screw had fallen out. Then I noticed there were three more screws that had fallen out and another was about to fall out. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that over time, enough screws will fall out that the entire thing will collapse.
So, of course I replaced the screws that fell out, and tightened the one that was falling out, but you should not have to do this after less than six months of use.
And its all because the thing is not very sturdy, and every time you roll over, the bed sways a little.
Its an adequate bed, but I am not looking at this as a permanent solution and will most definitely have to replace this bed in the not too distant future.
I didnt see any reviews when I bought this bed so I thought Id leave a detailed review with my personal opinions for anyone looking to purchase this. First it is a very beautiful bed. The headboard is so soft and its pretty sturdy. Im a 26 year old woman and I was able to put it together by myself in a couple hours. The instructions are pretty straight forward, there are some things that made me think twice but for the most part it was easy to follow as far as directions go. There was only one piece that was not labeled and that took a while to figure out but its pretty obvious if you look at all the other parts, you could figure it out. It does come in two boxes, they are pretty heavy but Im quite small and I was able to move them. It would definitely be easier having someone help but its not necessary. I did have my husband help screw everything down a bit tighter just to be sure that it wasnt going to fall apart, and so far so good. The only complaint I have are with the slats. THERE ARE SO MANY and very difficult to put into place. That was definitely the most time consuming and wood is very flimsy and does not want to go into the slots or stay in them. I would recommend just buying some boards and laying those down instead. Also the slats are curved so that makes the mattress not lay flat so we will probably end up removing them and just laying some boards down instead but its not a huge deal. Overall its a beautiful frame and Im very happy with the purchase. It was shipped quickly and I actually got it 3 days before the original arrival day. I would recommend this item but only if you have a knack for building things.

We have a 10 inch memory foam top mattress, no box spring and the height is just fine on its own. However, we will have to purchase a 4 inch box spring due to a gap from where the mattress top sits and where the headboard begins. Its sucking our pillows down the gap and doesnt offer good back support. I dont know how we got a king platform as there are no other reviews for a king and they are no longer listing a king size. The platform also changed the firmness of our memory foam mattress, not for the better. Other than that its really soft.

Missing parts in my order!
Box looked previously opened and when assemble the frame we detected that some parts where missing. I want a refund on this bed. Part D1 and D2.
