and Im very pleased with it

I bought this to use with a standard/size Japanese tatami mat ( 3ft x 6ft, which is close to an American twin size except about 2 more narrow), and Im very pleased with it. Its sturdy, the slats appear to be solid bamboo planks, and its easy to assemble by one person with minimal mechanical/assembly skills. Its very solid and after the slats are installed it is a true platform / the slats and rails are level. The slats are an ingenious design, they are in two sections linked by the fuzzy side of a velcro strip, and the inner bedrails have the hooked side of the velcro. There are four dowels protruding from the inner rails that correspond with holes in the end slat of each of the two sections of slats / it would be hard to get slat spacing wrong, just put the end slat over the dowels, stretch out the linked rails and press them down so the velcro fastened. You arent going to have to worry about sliding bedslats on this bed. I bought the finish, and they did a great job matching the stain to US color description expectations. The rest of my bedroom furniture in stained hardrock maple was made in the US around 50 years ago, and they and this bedframe are nearly a perfect match! Not so bad.

good quality, great deal, a little tricky to build

This is a great platform bed for the price and looks nice with our new memory foam mattress. The minimalist style manages to make a king size bed look unobtrusive in our relatively small bedroom. The finish looks great and the slats are plentiful (careful of splinters though when installing them; theyre not finished so you might want to sand them first if you have sandpaper handy). They have Velcro on the bottom which makes them tricky to install, but they will stay in place because of it. It is a bit complicated to instruct. Thankfully, my father in law was here to help out with that. Youll want to have an electric screwdriver with various bits so you have the right size. That will make construction much easier and quick. I believe it took about an hour and a leisurely pace. If it were more expensive I may have given it four stars for how deconstructed it arrives, but for 200 I cant complain. Overall good.

    Dont recommend / unstable

This bed frame became unstable and screws became loose after 4 months of nightly use by a lady weighing under 100 lbs. I do not expect it to last over 3 more months

I like that its low to the ground so if he

I purchase this bed for my five year old (his first big boy bed). I like that its low to the ground so if he were to fall it would not be too far from the floor. The quality of the wood is not great but it works for what i wanted it for (a five year old). Well made and packaged.

    It looks very nice, however

We just assembled the bed yesterday. It looks very nice, however, there is one small nick on the headboard. We havent yet purchased the mattress so I cant comment on the sturdiness yet. We like the real wood used throughout. thanks great product.
