On the positive side, I really like the extra elastic on the corners of the fitted sheets. It helps them fit better. I also like that the set had four pillowcases.
On the negative side, I was not pleased with the construction of the pillowcases. I have been sewing for 50 years. I like nice seams inside and out. I always use the color of thread that matches the fabric. Although we have a split king bed, we use standard pillows. For me that is not a problem. Because I sew, I could easily shorten the pillowcases. I was shocked to find 4 colors of thread were used on the seams, one on the straight seam and 3 on the serger seam. The seams were not straight. One corner was gathered when the serger stitching was cut. It appears to me that speed was more important than quality. A quality control inspector should have caught the fact that the corner was not flat. Because I wanted to keep the set, I took out all the stitching and remade the pillowcases. Not everyone can or would go to the trouble.
I didnt see this in the description (I could have overlooked it) but was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package and found that there are sewn in sheet straps on the fitted sheet! They are also color coded...2 white and 2 black...makes it easy when making the bed and trying to figure out which way the fitted sheet is supposed to go. I put the 2 white at the top and 2 black at the bottom. Will but these again!
Love these sheets and have ordered multiple sets, but this order had the wrong sized sheets in it (labeled queen but the fitted sheet appears to be a king).
UPDATE...after a few weeks of back and forth with the slow but friendly customer service agent, I was finally given credit for these sheets after returning them.
They are exactly what they say, but soo soft. After a year if struggling to find super Deep pocket sheets for my adjustable bed I Finally found the perfect sheets! I will be ordering a couple more sets! And a great price!!
I have only had them for a couple of weeks. They wash very well and are so soft. I was surprised by the extra elastic on the corners along with elastic going all the way around the fitted sheet . My mattress is not that deep but I would expect if you needed real deep pockets these sheets would be great. It was nice to get 4 pillow cases because lets face it who only has two pillows on their bed.
I was a bit hesitant to buy these sheets, but because they were Prime I took the chance, and I am so glad I did! They are smooth, soft, and oh, so comfortable. They washed and dried like a dream, no pilling yet, and dont seem like them will.
They have been insanely cozy, I have not been sweaty at all sleeping on these sheets.
They have built in sheet straps.....SHEET STRAPS!!! They fit our King size mattress very well, and we also have a 4 inch foam topper on top of the mattress itself. The sheets dont come off the mattress when you move around in the bed because they come with built in SHEET STRAPS!!
Did I mention they have built in sheet straps?
I bought the Royal Blue and they are gorgeous and came with 4 pillow cases which is just wonderful. I am going to buy another set in teal.
