Bent in areas and touch ups on unit were shoddy at best. Was supposed to be a new unit. Unit was well packed and no damage was apperent on outside of packaging
Nice and sturdy and keeps my long rifles safe and secure. Initially had a minor problem and contacted their customer service. The next day they had resolved the problem. The problem could have been caused by them or UPS - they simply corrected the problem with NO QUESTIONS asked. Other companies could learn from SafePlus! Thanks - Wally
Perfect safe for a few guns and important documents, jewelry and spare cash. Very easy to set up entrance code. Dont forget to keep manual and access keys elsewhere.
Bought this safe about a year ago. I have it secured to the wall in my closet. Any guns not on my person get secured in the safe. Its not big enough for an arsenal, but for 3-4 long guns and 2-3 handguns (inside lock box), its well worth the money. I actually lost the Master key a couple weeks ago and emailed the Company right away and gave them the information they needed to make me a new one. I received the new keys within a week and a half. I was very pleased with their quick response and professional service
Ive been using the safe for few weeks and and it works good. No issues so far.
Package: It comes in a well padded package with protection on the edges and corners.
Mounting: It needs to be mounted to a wall and/or the floor - there are 2 holes in the back side (so it could be screwed into a stud) and 4 in the bottom. Considering the width of the safe and 16 inch distance between the studs, you may not be able to put it into a corner (unless you could mount it to the floor or you have just right distance from the corner to the first stud).
If its not mounted, then there is a big chance for it to lean forward and fall when the door is open, because the door is quite heavy.
There is mounting hardware (6 or 7 metal bolts and anchors), but they seem to be applicable for concrete walls/floor. Mounting it to the wood (stud, floor) may require getting different hardware.
Keys and locks: it comes with 2 sets (pairs) of keys - one set for the small compartment and another - for emergency, if battery is dead or code is lost. There is a default factory code in case if the custom one gets reset (due to a low battery level or some other reason).
Locks are quite basic and could be opened by a pro (especially the one in the small compartment inside the safe), but they are good enough to keep you children and family members away from the contents of the safe.
So, the safe will stop someone who is not dedicated enough to cut it open from its side with an angle grinder or steal that heavy item by disconnecting it from its mounts.
There is no fireproofing whatsoever, but it guess it doesnt claim to be fireproof :)
Internal mounts: there is a slotted pad for holding your rifles, but the height cannot be adjusted. An AR15 pistol with 10.5 inch barrel wont reach the pads. So they are good for longer rifles (I guess should be ok for an AR rifle with 16+ inch barrel length.
Customer service and warranty: when you receive the safe, there should be a card for registering and extending your warranty. I havent used the warranty yet (hope I wont need to use it), but after registering I was contacted by the customer service representative and they were glad enough to offer me a door organizer for the safe free of charge. Ive received it and attached to the door - it holds 2 handguns and has few more pockets for other stuff (documents, magazines).
Other then it coming with a nice gouge in the side of it(to much hassle to return it for a new one at this point) its a nice little safe for my needs, especially for the price! If there was something they could do for the gouge in it without me having to package it and lug the 80lb safe somewhere to return it, thats be nice. But not counting on it. All together a nice safe
I order the Large Rifle Safe and it arrived with a few dents, nothing major but they were there. It seeps well built and sturdy, but you definitely need to anchor it because it can be easily tipped off if not.
Now to the customer service part. I was preparing the wall anchoring and need it to move the safe, left the keys on the bed, and went to get my drill. During my brief absence, one of my kids started playing with the keys and put them inside the safe (this is a great confirmation of why you need a safe when kids are around). I did not notice the keys were inside, locked the door and moved it, so now it was all locked up and I havent even put batteries on yet! After a few desperate attempts to open it and a bit of a fit. I contacted the email on the instructions, send a picture of the serial number, and a week or so later I got the new keys. They were super responsive and fast in my opinion.
I may do an update once I have had iit installed and working for a few months.

Good rifle safe
Safe seems sturdy and well made. Just what we were looking for to keep little ones from being able to easily access our firearms.
Decent gun cabinet/safe, good customer service
