I have this daybed in my guest bedroom. Works well when my children come home to visit. I like how it can sleep two people and doesnt take up as much room as a double bed would in a smaller space.
We bought this for our kindergartener and she loves it. Its a rough/ish brown finish, seems sturdy, and had pretty clear and easy assembly instructions. Seemed well/packed, everything I needed to assemble was included. That said, one of the holes to align the back to the side didnt match up Not sure how I wouldve dealt with that if my husband didnt just bend it to fit. (Im not weak, but not that strong!!) If that hadnt been an issue I couldve assembled within an hour with just my daughters help! Locking the slats in place was a pain, literally, just a lot of pushing things into place so not for someone with weak fingers. Over/all Id recommend it, as long as the price doesnt go up!
Bought this daybed for our guestroom. The construction is very sturdy and held our 250 pound adult son. The trundle is also sturdy but I should have gotten a pop/up trundle as it is too low to the ground for any of our adult guests to get in and out of comfortably. We also ordered the 8 and 6 mattresses which are comfortable enough for a night or two. Although the daybed description says the trundle holds a 6 mattress, the 8 does fit and would be better
came right on time, but one of the main frames screw hold is stripping the screw so we had the drill a different hole to make to bed work. But other than that its a pretty and great bed
I was nervous about the assembly based on the other reviews. My husband and I put this together in about an hour and 15 minutes today. We both have a history with tools and puzzles, but it was a fun project! I gave this a 4 because we did have a few scuffs and nicks in the pieces, but the assembly was not as scary as the other reviews let me believe. Some tips below:
/ 2 person job, just because it helps to have someone line up the dowels and holes
/ lay your pieces out in number order beforehand
/ use power tools (we eavh had a drill) and turn the tension down, go slow. This is probably what all the time complaints were about!
