This is a bare bones adjustable task stool that works for a 42 bar height (29 seat). 5 stars for the price. Its not heavy duty but this proven design has been around a long time. I use this in my garage work bench.
I ordered this chair after reading several reviews on other chairs. This chair so far has proven to be easy to assemble, only screwdriver required, and it took less than 10 min to assemble. It is very comfortable. Working from home required me to have a chair that I can easily move around and get out of, as well as be tall enough to fit my tall desk. Good chair.
Very easy to put together, but you have to pay attention to directions on the box with the foot rest and then put the rest of the chair together. I also received two left arm rests.
A great deal for the money. Easy to assemble. As directionally challenged as I am, I was able to assemble this item in less than thirty minutes. I like it so much I purchased a second one for my quilting studio.
I didnt think to check the height on the chair and how it would fit my current desk. At the lowest setting it is about 2.5 below my desk. I am a petite woman (411) and have been having a lot of neck and shoulder pain with my arms being extended to reach my mouse for long periods of time with my previous chair. Having a higher chair helps keep my arms closer to my body. This chair definitely helps with that but my legs are pinched between my chair and desk which doesnt really bother me. Overall Im happy with this purchase.
For anyone looking for an affordable standing desk seat for a home office, this one should be on your list. I have owned and sat on this seat for about a day. Heres my initial impressions:
The seat cushion is slightly firm and well/bolstered. Its not what I would consider a super comfy chair, but it is something I could probably sit on for 3/4 hours at a time without parts of my body falling asleep.
The back support is ok too. It pivots backwards and feels fairly firm on my lower back. I wish it slid back a little more to allow me to sit a little deeper in the chair however.
I bought mine with the arm rests. I wasnt sure I would use them because I hate arm rests that bump into the desk and make it hard to get in and out, but thought Id give them a try. Unfortunately, they stink a bit like mildew. I hope the smell goes away after a while. The material used reminds me of the rubbery material from a car dashboard on a cheap car, I wish they had used the same fabric from the seat cushions. Bad smell aside, I like the way they support my arms while Im typing. I thought they would slide down much lower, but they dont go down any lower than what they show in the photo. They only raise up higher. I will probably keep them on unless the smell doesnt improve.
Im glad I didnt spend more money on this. Ive spent hundreds more on a more modern looking Steelecase chair that didnt meet my expectations, it just wasnt that comfortable. This chair met my expectations, but didnt deliver anything beyond. Its a bit dated looking, and average comfort/wise, but if you need something that wont fall apart and will keep you relatively comfortable for long hours of sitting at a desk, you might want to consider this one.

Attractive and sturdy
This was one of the few chairs I could find that could go from standard desk height to countertop height.

Good for the price.
Not a bad chair for the price. Easy to assemble. The chair was a bit dirty but nothing that bad.
