Purchased two of these. They are U.S. made in Georgia of Alderwood. Well packed and easy to put together. I did two in about 30 minutes. ACTUAL WOOD...not fiber or patched together pieces. Some of the pieces were a little green, but they smartly used them as base boards etc. I didnt finish mine, but may do so later. The surface is not rough at all. Very pleased with this purchase. Took me about 5 hours to find these and happy to purchase a US product.
This Nomad frame is everything I hoped it would be, and more, because I was also able to order shorter legs froms site for a low profile frame in the Twin XL (surprisingly difficult to find).
I also searched for wide slats to accommodate my tri-fold foam mattress. These slats are wide enough for adequate support and not spaced too far apart.
shipped the frame and the shorter legs quickly. Both boxes arrived at the same time and were packed securely.
Everything fit together perfectly along with the included parts. After putting together a lot of boxed pine furniture over the years, this was a piece of cake.
This Poplar has a depth and solidity in the grain I find beautiful, as well. Its received several comments on how good it looks.
Also, I appreciate responded to my email when I inquired about buying extra slats (not an option due to cutouts in the rails to keep them from shifting).
The only other option preferable for my tight space is the folding frame. I opted for the Nomad because I was skittish about the assembly and mixed reviews; both non issues in this case. This has been a great experience and I recommend this frame. Thanks,!
Its perfect. I thought it was gonna be a nothing on the height scale. But its actual perfect for my 8yr old.. We are do a freestyle canopy bed.. I think shes gonna love it
Great frame, it is solid and sturdy once assembled, I can tell it will last for years to come, great quality and with poplar tree wood grown and processed also in USA, no chemicals smells, it does have a natural wood smell, but it is not overwhelming and it has faded after days, it does come with a small amount of saw dust so I recommend use of mask and wiping and vacuuming before and after.
Ive had this bed frame for a little over 3 months now and its been great so far. Very sturdy, no squeaks and the perfect height for my room. I stained mine which worked out perfect for my decor. Would purchase again but I dont think Ill need another for a long time.
I bought this bed frame(king) with the roll out twin frame for under the bed and I already absolutely love it. I was able to put all of it together without help within an hour or so. The wood seems sturdy and have yet to hear any creaks. It came packaged fine and had all the pieces necessary to assemble, minus the philips screw driver, but it tells you that youll need one in the instructions. The twin fits underneath perfectly without the bed fully made. With the comforter on its snug, but will still fit underneath with a little push. Simple and great quality for the price.
I seldom write reviews but after receiving and putting this bed together I just had to. First of all I ordered it on a Friday and it arrived on Tuesday. I am a 61-year-old female and I was dreading putting this bed together. I was even thinking about hiring someone to do it for me. When it came I opened the box and thought Ill give it a go, even though I was skeptical from all the other flat pack pieces of furniture I have bought and struggled with putting together in the past. Not this time. Everything was perfect. I had the bed put together and made and ready to sleep in an hour and a half, all by myself. There were only two types of screws and a cross bar, so there was no having to decide what was what. It was obvious that they put the prettiest pieces of wood in places that would show and reserve the darker pieces for the slots. Every hole lined up. This was Major for me because it has never happened before. every hole was drilled straight and every screw fit in it perfectly. This thing went together so easy and I did not experience one minute of frustration. I purchased the 18-in legs and I have plenty of room for storage under the bed. It is sturdy, and I think it will last for years. I could not be happier over the quality and value for this bed.
We bought this bed for our new king size mattress and love it! There are no squeaks or wiggles, and you can get in or out of bed without disturbing your partner. Its very attractive and was fairly easy to put together.
I would like to give it a two star but they get a three because it is sturdy and stable but its really squeaky after a week of having it and that I dont like . Other than that good luck
