Beautifully Material, Easy Build with Two People, Good Quality Whole Piece of Wood

I was shopping for a good frame for years, so sad that this hid from the thousands of other imported frames in search. But I am so glad to find it!!! Very easy to build it take less than 45 minutes for 2 girls (Assuming if you are handy you probably could finish in 1 hour as well) to build with two screwdrivers. The frame does have some splinters so please be careful when building, it is easy to sand it down after build ( you dont need to sand it when you are building it as the most surface will be hidden after built). I was very tempted to stain or putting the clear coating of the wood but I am not so experience of doing it, so I gave up. Also, the storage capacity is AMAZING it fits boxes that are 13 max in height (frame total height is 15). It does squeak a little bit but I am not so bothered by it. I put it on the vinyl floor and I would suggest putting a nonslip mat in between the mattress and the frame and also nonslip pads under the legs so that to make sure the bed frame doesnt move on hard floor. Again overall very easy to build. The only thing I wish it could happen is I feel like if the planks can be all lock that would be great I think it would make the frame even feel more sturdy. Also do not panic when you trying to install the planks and it keeps falling down. Once you lock the ones with screws (the two in the middle on both sides) the others will fall into places. Also, there are no middle support legs come with this frame but I think addition legs can be purchase only if you need the support more than 600lb.

    Sturdy, Dependable, Easy

Ive been very impressed by the bed. It was easy to put together and looks great. Of course, its sturdy, as the frame is made of real wood (not that particle board). Id definitely recommend this bed frame.

Nomad platform bed frame has lasted over a decade

I bought this bed frame back in Nov 2009 and it has survived 8 moves! Its so easy to put together and take apart again. I can even fit in my hatchback car. My only issue was that one of the bolts stripped. I emailed and they sent me some extra bolts for free! Amazing customer service! Maybe when I finally settle down and buy own my place, Ill get around to staining it!

    Awesome platform bed!

I love the Nomad platform bed! It is far more beautiful and sturdy than those metal platform beds. I was looking for a bed frame that I could use for life, and I believe this is the one! It did take me a long time (2.5 hours) to put it together. The dowels fit really snuggly so I ended up having to use a rubber mallet to put them together. One of the screws did strip, but thankfully there was an extra! I also ordered the longer legs from the website so I could have more under-bed storage. I love it! However, I do wish that it was noted online that a power drill would be preferred for the center legs. it took me an hour to hand-screw the center legs. Overall wonderful bed. Definitely worth the lengthy assembly!

Make it easy on yourself...get a rubber mallet !!

First of all, Im completely satisfied with the Nomad (Queen) bed-frame that I ordered recently. For one thing, its sturdy and doesnt squeak or wobble, its made out of solid-wood construction, plus its relatively easy to put together. And did I mention, it was made in the good ol USA, I received it within a couple of weeks. BTW, even though I havent received my new mattress yet (Im currently using an air mattress and some memory foam) I find that Im sleeping much better now that Im up off the floor and I believe the extra height (approx. 15 off the floor) really makes a difference in sleep quality. Now as far as putting this frame together it took me a little longer than expected (about an hour and a half) because of a few issues that were overlooked on the part of the manufacturer and me being a novice in putting a frame together. Number one, you need a rubber mallet to attach the wooden dowels to the front and back legs. You cant just push them easily into the front and back legs like how he shows it in the YouTube video. Note: the installer told me there were several takes when he was doing the video and it got easier as time went on so he didnt use a mallet. So unless you want to do it a million times like I did get the rubber mallet! Second, I used my Black Decker drill to install the screws into the pocket holes but had some resistance when the grooves on the screws stopped about halfway through. I wasnt sure if I should keep on drilling and risk cracking the wood, or stop and call the manufacturer for further instruction. At this point I even wondered if they sent me the wrong type of screws?? So I just called the manufacturer after hunting around for a phone number and he assured me the wood wouldnt crack if I kept on drilling, thats just how the screws were made, it was just to get the process started. Still dont understand why they couldnt have been threaded all the way through, but Im glad it wasnt a major issue and nothing cracked. Other than those two minor issues it was relatively easy putting it together, except for my own mistake of installing one of the middle rails upside down instead of having the pockets towards the top. To avoid this mishap Id suggest having all the pieces laid out first and then putting it together it would make the process go much faster. In my case, I just didnt have very much room to spread everything out. Oh well. Now the one thing I did right was going to Target and getting those sliders for underneath the legs so now its extremely easy to move the bed frame all around my room. All in all though this was a great learning experience!
