i AM 74 and by taking my time I was able to put this together by myself. instructions are very easy to understand. I would have given 5 stars but although this is a queen size frame my 14 inch pillow top mattress barely fit in the space allowed. It was difficutl to make the bed because it was such a tight fit at the headboad and footboard. Pulling the fitted sheet down betweeen the mattress and bars was difficult. the side rails may need to be just a inch or two longer. a raised edge on those rail would certainly be a plus to keep the mattress from sliding. I laid plywood over the rails to balance the weight along with felt to keep the mattress in place. I really love the look of the bed so I can live with the negatives. If the Mfg comes out with a better design as Suggested I would most likley purchase it.

NO PRINTED (VERBAL) INSTRUCTIONS-ONLY VERY GRAPHIC/DETAILED BLUEPRINTS. ACTUALLY KINDA FUN TO WATCH IT TAKE SHAPE..VERY SOLID YET EASILY SLIDE-ABLE BECAUSE OF THE CAPS PN ALL 9 LEGS !!!!
Well, the bed has been up a little over a day. My grandson who is turning 4 in 2 days came into my room and said the bed is broke. I go in the bedroom to find out whats going on. Apparently he must have been jumping an 2 of the slats popped off and they were on the carpet. I really like the bed, I dont know if its kid proof. I think Ill have to duck tape the slats or secure them another way. I have another one to put up for my 2yr old granddaughter. Well see what happens. Im a bit leary!
I always read the reviews when purchasing and was hesitant to buy this bed when doing so, but I have to say this purchase was a definite win! I arranged all pieces to ensure all was there, and not only were all of the pieces there the company also sent an extra piece of each screw bolt! It probably took me 1 1/2 hrs to assemble because I did it on my own I took my time to ensure I was doing it right, but I am so very pleased with the look, durability the delivery time was cry fast! I was expecting it in a couple of weeks and it came in 3 days! To say that Im pleased is an understatement! Absolute satisfaction!!

Check you parts
My overall recommendation is nice piece of furniture but missing parts along with bolts not completely ready - missing holes to put screws in.
