Picked this bed up for my 8 year old son last year (Christmas 2018) / He is still using the bed a year later and generally no complaints. It was easy to assemble, and has held up well to the wear, tear, and abuse of an 8 year old, his younger 6 year old brother, and his friends. My wife initially was concerned because its a bunk bed, however that wore of pretty quickly. My one relatively minor complaint is when I, as a 40s aged dad, need to get onto the top bunk to put on a new mattress sheet, I can feel the center of gravity of the whole thing start to think about tilting. I am around 200 lbs so for the kids it is definitely not an issue, however Id be leery of, say, 4 active boys having a slumber party all horsing around up there without reinforcing this to the wall, but thats maybe an extreme case. For the cost, and material quality, its held up just fine. We will keep this bed for a few more years for sure.
We bought this as a Christmas gift and waited to assemble closer to Christmas Day. The boards were fine, instructions good, but the fasteners were sub par. I spent an hour in the shop straightening bolts and fixing threads. Luckily I have the tools to do so. No extra hardware supplied. I feel like I should have inspected sooner.
We also took an extra step and added glue for each dowel. The bed is solid. Im sure periodically tightening bolts is in my future.
There should be a foldable plywood panel to lay across the mattress slats, too. Thats not supplied so expect to buy n cut a panel to support the mattress of choice.
Beautiful piece of furniture. Very affluent looking. It looks nice with and without bedding. Not at all cheap or low quality appearing. The fervent wood scent (not odor) dissipates in one day (low VOC); however, smells really nice if you like the scent of nature. The hardware is sturdy and NOT oily like other DIY furniture. Neatly packaged and VERY EASY to assemble. The best suggestion I can give to people is, if youre not used to or not good at DIY, then take your time. Open all hardware and lay out in groups (the two packs of hardware work in concert—NOT one bag per bed. Unwrap all wood sets snd pay CLOSE attention to the number stickers in the main pieces ANDto the direction in which you install/position each wood piece/panel. Take your time! if youre not used to DIY furniture. I built ours in 1.5 hours, with assembly assistance (xtra pair of hold and lift hands). This bunk is a smart buy because I buy with multiple children in mind. How can a childs friend, sibling(s), or even one parent visit him or her on their bunk if it only holds from 165 to 250 lbs.? This bunk holds 400 lbs. each. Talk about quality sister time
Good twin sized bed frame honestly worth every penny it fits perfectly in my room and match all of my dark brown furniture in my room, the quality in top notch and instructions are easy to follow I built it by my myself but yeah Im 24 and pretty tall 5,7 this frame works perfectly
The only reason I didnt give these beds 5 stars is that they have a pretty strong chemical (not new wood) smell at first. Now that theyve been in place a month or so, its finally calmed down. We like everything else about them!
We bought three of these for our three boys that have outgrown the twin beds. I am the son of a carpenter and have been around building things including furniture a long time. Ive also built a lot of IKEA furniture. This bed overall is very well made. I dont see the fingerboard (google it) construction that you see in some of the unpainted IKEA products. Also, I much prefer the heavier duty of the lats on this bed vs. ikea. There is one piece of MDF ( that is the front panel on the bed) otherwise the rest is solid wood and nice and thick. Also the furniture covered bolts are much thicker and its nice to have all the dowels pre/inserted. I think I built the entire bed in around 20 minutes and that includes unpacking. The packaging is also very high quality and you can see they packed it with delivery to residents in mind. overall very happy so far. Will report back after a few months and how they survive a move.

Looks like its from Pottery Barn. Very sturdy and looks adorable. My toddler loves his big boy bed!
Great quality, beats IKEA hands down if you are wondering
