I thought this would be a faux marble top which would basically be particle board with a thin overlay of a plastic decorated to look like marble. Quite the opposite! The top itself is so heavy and solid that it really looks and feels like a real marble top. Very sturdy desk, great color combination with the gold and white. Easy enough to assemble, my hubby and I teamed up and we didnt fight or argue once! Aming! Great value for the price.
Originally I bought the item off and it came from a reseller which I didnt know, box was all damaged bruised and I had thought it came from the company so I emailed them said some vulgar words. After they explained what happened they helped me receive missing screws and were more than glad to help me with it. Products great, lots of leg room!
This desk looks aming. The corner spot is kind of awkward but with the right lamp, it could look really nice. I love the color and how modern looking the desk is. A lot of legroom underneath. I would definitely recommend.
Sturdier than expected, good amount of space, fairly easy to put together. I messed up one of the early steps but didnt take too long to backtrack and fix the error. Just pay close attention to the instructions (specially how it looks) and its easy. Think it took a little over an hour to put together. Very happy with the desk, its exactly what I was looking for: relatively inexpensive, L/shaped, solid construction, plenty of space for what I need.
The desk is great for the money. It has plenty of desk space. You can work from either side or with a monitor (or two). I have my monitor in the middle and there is plenty of space for my extended, large keyboard. Its not real wood of course but the surface seems like it will hold up to liquids and other wear/tear. Good to the touch. Its also not too big for an L/shaped desk.
Putting it together was super easy; HOWEVER as others have said, you have to be real careful with the direction the long bars are facing. I had to read ahead in the instruction manual to try and figure out which way they should face and I still screwed it up. It is easy to recover from the mistake as long as you DO NOT tighten the bolts until the instructions tell you to do so. Also, I cant imagine using the allen wrench supplied as it would take much longer. I used by screw driver with an allen wrench attachment.
I ordered another one two days later for my son so putting the second one together should be a piece of cake.
Had an issue with the package but customer support was very helpful and fixed the issues we had. The table has been holding up very well and is beautiful
I love this desk. Its beautiful, light weight, sturdy, easy to assemble.
The ONLY problems I experienced were:
1. My package was damaged. There was a big gouge in the box, resulting slightly dented table surface and a chipped edge (you could see the particle wood beneath the black paneling). A little black paint fixed this. I blame shipping, not the table itself, but I think a bit more foam insulation could have prevented it
2. The panels of the desk dont fit flush against eachother. There are very small gaps between them. Not terrible, but a little annoying all the same.
All that said, would I recommend it Yes. Absolutely. Its gorgeous, and the price is hard to beat.
Converted a seldom used room into a distance learning room for two teenagers.
We researched based off looks, desk top work space area and the space we had available for the desk. The L/Shaped Desk fit our needs perfectly.
It came unassembled in a large but easily moveable box. It was well packed with no broken parts. It was put together by one person (two would make it easier) and the directions were easy to follow. Please make sure to follow the directions. It is modular and needs to be loose to go together, then it can be tightened up. It will make it much easier for you. The parts were marked, went together with no problems and it included spare fasteners in case you misplace some.
We purchased two and did had a problem with a missing part on one of the desk legs. I was still able to assemble the desk and emailed the company to request the part. They were very responsive and shipped it within a few days. I received it within a week. The part was shipped directly from China via air. Excellent customer service.
Once it was put together, although it was not heavy, two people should move it where you want it just because of the overall size.
The family likes the desks and as you can see it is also used for hobbies and artwork. The desk has held up to regular use and is easily cleaned with a soft cloth.
The table is really big as I wanted with a lot of leg room. Its sturdy and well built as well. I am using the table for my dual monitor gaming pc and study purposes.
