My in-laws purchased for my two year old. Im giving a 4 star rating instead of a 5 because they sent us two M pieces instead of an M and an L piece, luckily my husband and father-in-law are handy enough so they drilled the holes that were needed. But I saw this bed and knew I wanted it for my two year old for her first big girl bed. Its absolutely beautiful, and the fairy lights add a nice touch and perfect night light! I love the added bookshelf so its easy to read bedtime stories! Its a wonderful bed! It easily holds an adult and toddler so pretty sturdy as far as we can tell.
I didnt give it full stars because how it showed up at my door step. Box one was neatly packed. But a few pieces had dings in them. So I considered that to be the manufacturer. It is easily noticeable. My second box look like it went through hell. It was all hanging out and shoved back in. Scratches and dings on a few more pieces. Im sure the U.P.S. had something to do with it but with it being that heavy the manufacturer needs to secure it in a better box. I spent roughly 4 hours putting it together. As far as how the top bunk sets on the bottom bunks seems a little unsecured. Four cheap wooden dowels keep it in place. Dont move the bunk bed by pushing the top. It may snap the dowels. Dont lift up on the top bunk or it will easily come off the bottom bunk. The ladder doesnt set secured as it should. The holes were off. So when the kids climb it the pressure will be on the bolt. Im sure over time the ladder will loosen and possibly screws come out. Ill take a picture of the gap. All edges of the ladder have the gap... As far as everything else goes it seems to be sturdy enough.
Instructions could be little more clear but over all easy to install. Our kids love this bed. The style lets you design the room any way you want. It is very sturdy and with the top bunk walls make it overly safe. Must have for active kids.
Fairly easy to put together with two people, definitely need power tools and not just the little wrench they send. Ours came missing a slat for the top bunk though
This bunk bed was easy to assemble. I put it together myself in a few hours. The bottom bunk sits just a few inches off the ground which is great for young children. Easy to follow instructions. Sturdy for kids. Very happy with purchase. Make sure you look at all sellers since some have it way more expensive than others.
Love the bed. It s nice and sleek but we wish that the bottom bunk was a bit lower so a child or adult could actually sit up on it. We find our son always having to bend his head sideways or crouching a bit as he sits in it. He s only 8. Assembling wasn t so difficult. Put the ladder on the wrong way since it wasn t instructed on which way it went.
Everything went well until step 4. We spent at least 30 mins trying to tighten the screws for the bottom side frames. We actually had to use a ratchet to tighten the screws. Towards the end connecting the top frame arches, it was tough to tighten again. This is why I give this bed 4 stars. After all of that, its beautiful and came in great shape. Our daughter loves it!
