Great stool, very sturdy and made of solid wood. I needed this to act as a small table by the entrance of my apartment to put stuff down on so I ordered the taller model. A small hex wrench is included but youll destroy your hands and get blisters as the hex nuts are very hard to screw down. I bought a drill bit hex set for 8 bucks here on . With a power drill this is a breeze to assemble. Note: the little wood buttons that cover the counter sunk screw holes need to be glued in place as they will not stay in any other way, no biggie.
I don't understand what the fuss is. Reading the reviews, I thought I am assembling a rocket. It is 8 screws. Make sure you have a screwdriver with the appropriate bit. You can't do this easily with the included allen wrench, as it requires too much torque. Be smart, pay $10 and get a screwdriver set that you can use elsewhere as well.
Use a cloth on top of the buttons when hammering them in.
Nice wood, good fit and finish. Disassembled. But not hard to figure out assembly. But the Allen wrench they provide with package is a bit small.
And makes assembling harder than necessary.
All that being said at its current price, I would buy it again. And recommend it.
I put my order on the 12th of October and received an email on the 14th of October saying it was not going to be delivered the next day. I am guessing it got canceled because I bought them at a low price ($26-$27) because I checked again and the price was doubled ($45-$46). Its bs. I really liked the stool on the image and I would have probably given it a 5 start but it just has to have 0 stars instead of one.
This is like any other piece of furniture you have to put together. From reading some of the other reviews I thought I'd have to drill the hoies out so the screws would fit or the allen wrench was a piece of junk.
The holes for the screws are the right size, but not overlarge so the screws will bite. Before assembling the stool, take one of the screws and screw it into each hold most of the way in, then back it out. Then when you go to put the stool together, only tighten the screws halfway to they hold everything together then then start tightening, going from one side to the other. Doing it like that makes it easier when you assemble it, you're not fighting to hold everything in place while trying to turn a tight screw. And that helps keep the allen wrench from jumping out of the screws because you're not turning it as hard.
My only complaint are the plugs that hide the screw tops are a little loose. The only way they'll stay is to glue them. But for what I'll be using the stool, I don't care if the holes are plugged or not so I threw them away.
For the price, it's not a bad little stool.

Must have a power drill to assemble

Screw guide holes were too small. Had to use much muscle and a pair of pliers.
Good color. Make guide holes a touch bigger
Took me 3 minutes to get this done

It's a stool, what can go wrong?
Seriously, it's a stool. How can you mess up a wooden stool? It does its exact job, and it has but one job.
Order got cancel, probably because price

Good Stool for the Price

The screws are hard to put in with the little tool that comes with it, otherwise they are decent.
